Our development process for Marketing Brainstorm AI character
We built the Marketing Brainstorm for ChatGPT as an AI agent on TypingMind. Basically, we developed this character with two main purposes:
- To assist when we know what to do: the character expands and refines our strategies and ideas.
- To guide us when we’re unsure: the agent provides a starting point for formulating strategies.
Keeping these purposes in mind, we designed an AI character that caters to both scenarios with efficiency. Here’s how.
Step 1: Set up initial system instruction
- First, assign the ChatGPT as digital marketing expert
This allows ChatGPT access to relevant marketing knowledge.
- Inform the AI that we will provide product background information in our prompt
Providing context/background information about the product allows ChatGPT to deliver more targeted responses. So we decided to tell ChatGPT in advance that our future prompt will include these information:
- Objective
- Target audience
- Product details
- Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
- Brand Voice
- Marketing Channels
More than that, we also prepared for situations where we might be unsure about some of this information. In such instances, ChatGPT is programmed to suggest what’s missing, thus allowing us to reach our goals even when our direction is unclear.

Well, this is too general and makes no sense to us. We want something more specific such as:
